The party’s spokesman, Seye Oladejo, made this known in a statement released in Lagos on Saturday. He was reacting to comments by Dele Momodu, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who urged opposition parties to unite and use ethnic sentiment as a strategy to challenge Tinubu in the next presidential election.

Oladejo said that Nigerian voters have moved past the era of ethnic politics and are now more focused on leadership that can deliver progress and stability.

He noted that President Tinubu’s leadership has been centered on fairness, inclusion, and reform, adding that his administration is working to rebuild the nation through infrastructure development, economic recovery, and social welfare initiatives.

He stated that Tinubu’s record in governance has shown that leadership is about ideas and performance rather than identity. Oladejo also advised Momodu to focus on defining his political path instead of giving unsolicited political advice.

He added that the coming 2027 election would be based on performance and competence rather than political showmanship or ethnic division, maintaining that opposition parties have already accepted defeat ahead of the polls.
