The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has named Eyitayo Jegede as the Chairman of its Screening Committee ahead of the party’s 2025 Elective National Convention.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, who chairs the National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC), announced the appointment in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja.
According to the statement, Jegede will lead a 13-member committee responsible for screening all aspirants contesting for national offices in the convention scheduled to take place on November 15 and 16 in Ibadan. The screening exercise will be held on Tuesday.
Members of the committee include Mohammed Diri, who serves as Deputy Chairman; Asue Ighodalo, Secretary; Jacob Otorkpa, Deputy Secretary; and other members such as Emmanuel Enoidem, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Aduke Maina, Iyom Anenih, Achike Udenwa, Maryam Ciroma, Felix Hyat, Zainab Maina, and Chinedu Nwachukwu, who will act as administrative secretary.
The NCOC expressed confidence that the committee will carry out its duties with fairness, professionalism, and full compliance with the party’s rules as it prepares for the upcoming national convention.
