Consequent upon protest in the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti over hike in school fees, academic activities have been suspended for two weeks.
The university entrance was blocked today, by angry students, leaving staff and visitors to the school stranded.
With the new school fees announced by the university, a 100 level medical student will pay N755,000 while law student as well as nursing science will pay N505,000.

SUSPENSION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES FOR TWO WEEKS
The Vice Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Professor Edward Olanipekun, on behalf of the university Senate, has approved the suspension of academic activities on campus for two (2) weeks with effect from today, 11th April, 2023.
Arising from the above, all students of the university are ordered to vacate the campus premises immediately and should not be seen within the campus premises for the next two weeks.
Parents and guardians are hereby advised to invite their wards home immediately.
Any student found wandering around the university premises does so at his/her own risk.
