The Ona of Abaji, Dr. Baba Yunusa Ugbada, on Thursday commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for the development going on across the FCT. The traditional ruler spoke in Abaji during a visit by Hon. Adamu Abdullahi and members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, who were on a tour of FCT chiefdoms.
The visit was arranged to introduce the ambassadors to traditional rulers, build stronger ties, and seek royal support for the current administration. The monarch, who also heads the council of FCT Royal Chiefs, said the work being done in the territory, especially in satellite towns, shows the government’s commitment to growth. He asked for more road projects, better schooling facilities, and other support that would improve life in rural communities.
The ambassadors moved on to Gwargwada, Rubochi, Yaba, Wako, Pai, and Zuba chiefdoms as part of their outreach. In Pai, the chief, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Pai, praised the road network built under the administration, saying it has helped farmers take their produce to the city with ease. In Zuba, the Agora, Engr. Muhammad Bello Umar, said he trusts the ambassadors to work for peace and development and promised continued cooperation.
During the visits, Hon. Abdullahi told the traditional rulers that their requests would be compiled and taken to President Tinubu. He assured them that the President is ready to hear from the people and respond to their needs.
