The Agaba of Jiwa Chiefdom in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, Alhaji Idris Musa, has donated N1 million to the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a group campaigning for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The donation was made when members of the group visited his palace in Abuja.
The traditional ruler received the delegation, which was led by the coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Hon. Adamu Abdullahi. During the visit, the monarch praised President Tinubu for his leadership style and for appointing Barrister Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. He also spoke positively about the choice of Hon. Abdullahi to coordinate the group in the FCT, describing him as someone close to his household.
Alhaji Idris Musa stated that he was fully committed to the President’s reelection and promised to use his position and influence within the FCT and other areas to mobilise support. He said the people of Abuja should show appreciation for what he described as inclusive governance and appointments that have brought a sense of belonging to residents of the capital.
The monarch also said the support was meant to encourage continuity in leadership, adding that the people had benefited from policies and decisions taken by the current administration.
In his remarks, Hon. Abdullahi commended President Tinubu’s administration for paying attention to the Federal Capital Territory through appointments, infrastructure development, and policies aimed at strengthening unity. He said these efforts were helping to position Abuja as a true national capital.
He also spoke on the role of traditional rulers in community development and called for closer interaction between royal fathers, village heads, and community leaders. Abdullahi requested the permission of the Agaba of Jiwa for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors to engage traditional leaders across communities within his chiefdom, noting that peace and cooperation remained key to lasting development in the FCT.
