The ceremony took place at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
The governor said his administration remains focused and strong enough to meet its responsibilities to the people of Rivers State. He explained that the appointments were carefully made to improve coordination in government and ensure that official duties are carried out smoothly.
Fubara noted that the new advisers are not strangers to public service, adding that their previous experience in government would help them quickly understand the direction and goals of his administration. According to him, their knowledge of the system would reduce delays and help the government meet its targets within set timelines.
He urged the advisers to see their new roles as a serious responsibility rather than a position for comfort, stressing that the people of the state expect commitment and hard work from them. The governor also expressed confidence that they would perform well, based on their past records in public office, and warned against actions that could disappoint the government or citizens.
The five officials sworn in as Special Advisers are Eloka Tasie-Amadi, Peter Medee, Emmanuel Fubara, Victor Ekaro and Darlington Oji. They are expected to begin work immediately as the administration continues its drive to deliver on its promises to the people of Rivers State.
