Rivers Deputy Governor Joins APC, Calls for Support for Tinubu and Fubara

The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Professor Ngozi Nma Odu, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress, completing her party registration at Ward 8, Unit 11 in Akabuka town, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area. Her registration follows that of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who recently joined the ruling party.
Odu toured the six zones of the local government, part of an outreach program to educate residents and party members about the ongoing electronic registration exercise for APC. During the tour, she encouraged citizens to participate in the registration drive in large numbers to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence.
The Deputy Governor also urged residents and supporters to actively support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Fubara, signaling a commitment to building strong local networks for the party ahead of future elections. Party officials noted that her move is expected to boost APC’s visibility and influence in the state, particularly at the community level.
This development comes amid a growing trend of political realignments in Rivers State, as leaders from different factions continue to shift allegiances, aiming to consolidate support for upcoming elections. Odu’s registration with the APC reinforces the party’s efforts to deepen its presence and encourage citizens to engage in the political process.
