The Lagos chapter of the APC has started an electronic membership registration program aimed at capturing accurate information on party members across the state. The initiative, which began on Monday, will run until the end of January and is designed to include both current members and new entrants.
Party officials stated that the digital registration will prevent duplication and impersonation, ensuring that all members are properly recorded and recognized. The move is also intended to make party structures more transparent and ensure that long-standing and new members are treated fairly during leadership selections, congresses, and primaries.
The electronic registration is expected to encourage participation from young people, professionals, and first-time political participants while improving coordination at the grassroots level. APC members across Lagos have been urged to participate actively, as the party views the registration as essential for internal democracy, electoral preparedness, and the growth of the party.
