The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set March 11, 2026, as the official start date for political campaigns ahead of the Osun State governorship election. The announcement was made during a meeting in Osogbo with stakeholders, marking the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise.
INEC said the campaign schedule will follow the guidelines of the Electoral Act, and political parties will receive instructions on campaign rules and conduct. The commission plans to ensure that parties understand the procedures to maintain a smooth process.
