According to information from government sources, the actor was allegedly recruited to assist the group as a media propagandist. His role was said to involve spreading messages meant to support and justify the planned action. The plot reportedly included plans to assassinate key political figures as part of the takeover attempt.
The Defence Headquarters later confirmed that the military had concluded investigations into the matter. The findings were forwarded to higher authorities in line with military rules. The armed forces said the actions of the officers involved did not align with the standards and values expected of military personnel.
Earlier reports had indicated that about 16 officers were under investigation, though the military initially described the case as one involving indiscipline. Further investigations later led to more arrests, including civilians connected to the alleged plan.
Military officers linked to the case are expected to face court-martial proceedings before any civil trial, while civilians, including the actor, will be tried in regular courts.
