Tinubu Inaugurates Projects in Kebbi
President Bola Tinubu on Saturday visited Kebbi State where he inaugurated a new State Secretariat Complex and several other projects completed by Governor Nasir Idris.
The event took place in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital, as part of the president’s one-day official visit.
During the ceremony, Tinubu praised Governor Idris for carrying out major development projects across the state. He described the governor as a determined leader who is committed to improving the lives of the people. The president said he was pleased with the level of work done by the administration and expressed confidence in the governor’s ability to deliver results.
The newly completed State Secretariat Complex, which was named after the president, was one of the key projects commissioned. The building, which cost billions of naira, was first started in 2012 but was later revived and completed under the current administration.
The project is part of efforts to provide modern office space for civil servants and improve government operations in the state.
Tinubu also commissioned other projects, including the Birnin Kebbi Central Motor Park built to improve transport services and boost commercial activities.
He opened the expanded three-lane road along Emir Haruna Road and the dualised Old Argungu Bypass to ease traffic flow within the capital. In addition, he inaugurated the Kauran Gwandu College of Nursing and Midwifery Sciences located in Ambursa to strengthen healthcare training in the state.
The president thanked the people of Kebbi for supporting their state government, noting that cooperation between citizens and leaders makes development possible. He assured Nigerians that the Federal Government would continue to work with states to improve infrastructure, healthcare and education.
Tinubu’s visit also coincided with the closing ceremony of the 61st Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival, where he attended as the Special Guest of Honour before concluding his trip.
