South-East APC backs Tinubu for second term

The South-East chapter of the All Progressives Congress has announced plans to mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the next presidential election.

The decision was made during the APC South-East Zonal Expanded Executive Meeting held recently and later communicated to journalists in Abuja on Sunday.

The meeting was led by the party’s National Vice Chairman for the South-East, Ijeomah Arodiogbu. It was attended by newly elected state chairmen of the party from Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo states, along with other members of the zonal executive committee.

Party leaders used the gathering to review political developments in the region and discuss strategies for strengthening the party ahead of future elections.

At the end of the meeting, the party leaders agreed that the South-East chapter would support Tinubu’s bid for another term as president. According to the communiqué issued after the meeting, the zonal executive committee declared its backing for Tinubu and its readiness to work toward securing victory for the party in the next presidential election.

The meeting also discussed the performance of the party and the need to improve its presence across the South-East geopolitical zone. Members of the committee agreed that party leaders and members in the region must work together to build unity and strengthen the party’s structure.

The zonal leadership also restated its support for governors elected on the platform of the APC in the South-East as well as other officials of the party serving at the federal, state and local government levels.

The committee noted that cooperation among party members would help improve the party’s chances in upcoming elections.

During the discussions, party leaders examined the political environment in the South-East and the steps needed to increase the party’s membership and influence.

They agreed that party members across the five states in the region should work closely together to improve the party’s performance in future elections.

The communiqué further stated that the party’s leadership in the region intends to promote cooperation among members and build stronger internal relationships.

According to the committee, unity among members will help the party secure victories in future contests, including presidential, governorship, National Assembly and state assembly elections.

Party leaders at the meeting also called on members and supporters in the region to continue backing the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration under the Renewed Hope Agenda. They urged party members to remain committed to the goals of the party while preparing for upcoming political activities.

The APC leadership in the South-East believes that stronger cooperation among party members will help the party expand its base in the region.

The meeting ended with a call for members to stay focused on strengthening the party and preparing for future elections across the zone.
