Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo on Monday, March 23, 2026, approved the appointment of several officials to serve in different roles in the state government, with the announcement made in a statement released in Awka by his media office to strengthen administrative operations.
The new appointments cover top government positions, including the Head of Service, principal secretaries, special advisers, and other senior aides expected to support governance across key sectors.
Among those appointed is Ngozi Iwouno as Head of Service, Joachim Anetoh as Principal Secretary to the Governor, and Ben Nwankwo as Chief of Staff.
Others named include Frank-Collins Okafor as State Chief of Protocol, Tobechukwu Nweke as Attorney-General, Christian Aburime as Chief Press Secretary, Vincent Okechi as Deputy Chief of Staff, and Ngozi Okoye as Deputy Chief of Protocol.
The governor also appointed advisers in different areas to handle specialised responsibilities within the administration.
These include Godwin Nnadozie for medicals and pharmaceuticals, Chinwe Okoli for innovation and business incubation, Ebuka Nwankwo for special projects and project monitoring, and Ken Emeakayi for community security.
The latest appointments come shortly after the governor approved the selection of Chiamaka Nnake as Secretary to the State Government. She is a finance professional with experience in budgeting and economic planning and had previously served in the state cabinet.
With these appointments, the state government is expected to strengthen coordination across ministries and improve policy execution as the administration continues its work in different sectors.
