Wike said the PDP remains one united party despite reports of internal disagreements. He stated that there is no faction within the party and described the situation as normal differences among some members.
According to him, such issues do not amount to a split, and efforts to resolve concerns can continue even as the party prepares for its national convention.
He explained that planning for the convention does not stop dialogue among party members, adding that reconciliation can still take place alongside other activities. He maintained that the party structure remains intact and united.
During the same outing, Wike inspected several ongoing and completed projects in the Federal Capital Territory. He said the administration regularly monitors projects to ensure that contractors deliver quality work and meet deadlines.
He noted that a bridge project near the Fire Service is close to completion, with contractors expected to finish within a few months. He also confirmed that the N5 road project handled by Julius Berger has been completed and will be inaugurated during the third anniversary of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
At the Nigerian Law School, the minister expressed satisfaction with the construction of staff housing, stating that the buildings are completed and furnished.
He also inspected hostel projects, praising the progress on the female hostel while raising concerns about the slower pace of work on the male hostel, although contractors have given a new timeline for delivery.
Wike described the projects at the Law School as a new step, noting that such infrastructure had not been provided there before by government.
He linked the progress in the FCT to careful use of resources and strong commitment, explaining that projects are only awarded when there is funding to complete them.
He added that the administration relies mainly on internally generated revenue and avoids starting projects without the means to finish them. He also credited the support of the President for helping to sustain ongoing work across the capital.
Wike assured residents that projects under construction would be completed as planned, stating that the administration remains focused on improving infrastructure and services in Abuja.
