2027: Ekiti campaign group rallies support for Tinubu

A political group in Ekiti State has taken steps to boost support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections by reorganising its consultative committee. The group, linked to Kayode Ojo, said the move is part of a wider plan to increase voter backing across the state.

At the inauguration of the committee in Ado Ekiti, the chairman, Adebayo Morakinyo, said the target is to secure a large share of votes for the president during the next election. He explained that the group would focus on reaching people at the grassroots level and informing them about government programmes and policies.

The committee includes key members assigned to different roles, and it will also work with an advisory body led by Prof Afolabi Popoola to guide its activities and decisions.

The group plans to engage voters through different methods, including community meetings, radio discussions, and outreach programmes aimed at informing people about government actions in areas such as education, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, power, and the economy.

Members of the group said they believe the current administration’s policies will bring lasting benefits and are encouraging residents to support the president’s second-term bid.

They also urged eligible voters in Ekiti State to take part in the voter registration process organised by the Independent National Electoral Commission so they can participate in the election.

The campaign organisation said it will continue to expand its activities across the state as it works to build support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
