APGA Backs Tinubu’s Re-Election, Rejects Support for APC Candidates

The All Progressives Grand Alliance has stated that it supports the re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu in 2027 but does not support candidates of the All Progressives Congress in legislative elections in Anambra State. The position was made public by the APGA Media Warriors Forum under the leadership of Chinedu Obigwe.

The group explained that comments earlier linked to Governor Chukwuma Soludo about working with the federal government were related to cooperation with the current administration and not an agreement to support APC candidates in elections within Anambra State.

It said some political aspirants in the state had been using posters that show Tinubu, Soludo, and themselves together, which created confusion among voters.

The party said APGA will support President Tinubu’s re-election bid while also preparing to contest and win Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly seats in Anambra State under its own platform.

It added that the idea of cooperation with the federal government should not be taken as support for rival party candidates in the state.

APGA also urged voters in Anambra to be aware that the party’s arrangement is focused on backing Tinubu for president while still competing strongly in all other elective positions at the state and national assembly levels through its own candidates under the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
