President Bola Tinubu will on Saturday leave Abuja for official visits to France, Kenya and Rwanda as part of efforts to engage global and African leaders on economic and development issues. The trip was announced on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The president is expected to begin the visit in France before heading to Nairobi, Kenya, where he will take part in the Africa-France Summit scheduled for May 11 and 12. The meeting, to be led by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto, will focus on areas such as energy, technology and climate-related matters.
After the Kenya event, Tinubu will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum taking place from May 14 to 15. The forum will bring together business leaders and policymakers to discuss investment opportunities and economic growth across Africa.
During the engagements, the president is expected to present Nigeria’s economic plans and ongoing reforms aimed at improving investment and development. He is also scheduled to hold meetings with business executives and government officials from different countries.
Tinubu will be accompanied by some ministers and senior government aides during the trip. He is expected to return to Nigeria after completing his activities in Rwanda.
