The All Progressives Congress in Lagos State has released the names of candidates who secured the party’s tickets for the House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The announcement was made on Monday through a statement issued by the state party chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, following the completion of the party’s primary elections across the state.
According to the party, 24 candidates emerged for House of Representatives seats, while 40 aspirants secured tickets for the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Among those selected for the House of Representatives are James Abiodun Faleke for Ikeja Federal Constituency, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa for Agege, and Babajimi Benson for Ikorodu. Others who secured tickets include Muftau Egberongbe for Apapa, Moses Olanrewaju for Amuwo-Odofin, Adeyemi Alli for Mushin I, Moses Oluwatosin Fayinka for Mushin II, and Fuad Kayode Laguda for Surulere I.
Lanre Okunnola emerged for Surulere II, while Fuad Atanda-Lawal secured the Eti-Osa ticket. Bello Monsuru Oloyede won Oshodi-Isolo II, and Kolade David Alabi emerged in Somolu. Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo picked the Ifako-Ijaiye ticket, while Bolaji Kayode Robert won in Ojo.
Paul Abioye Kalejaiye secured the ticket for Ajeromi-Ifelodun, while Dolapo Badru and Kayode Moshood Akiolu emerged for Lagos Island I and Lagos Island II respectively.
In Alimosho Federal Constituency, Olabisi Adebanjo secured the party’s ticket and stood out as the only female candidate among the House of Representatives candidates announced by the party.
Other winners include Adebayo Balogun for Ibeju-Lekki, Taiwo Aiyedun for Oshodi-Isolo I, Dele Osinowo for Kosofe, Segun Adeniran Onilude for Badagry, Wale Raji for Epe, and Adekunle Omolaja for Lagos Mainland.
For the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda secured the ticket for Apapa Constituency I, while Musibau Lawal emerged for Apapa II. Barakat Bakare-Odunuga won Surulere I and Damilola Ayinde-Marshall secured Surulere II.
The list also included Oluwagbemiga Abiola for Agege I, Saheed Bankole for Eti-Osa I, Gbolahan Yishawu for Eti-Osa II, Oladipo Olayinka Ajomale for Oshodi-Isolo I, and Mayowa Alakija for Oshodi-Isolo II.
In Ikorodu, Toyin Gafar and Moshood Aro secured tickets for Constituencies I and II. Orekoya Abiodun and Moruf Alli-Balogun emerged for Somolu I and II.
Temitope Adedeji Adewale and Rasheed Lanre Makinde secured the Ifako-Ijaiye tickets, while Oluwaseun Adebisi Ege and Suraju Tijani won in Ojo. Adedamola Kasumu and Adeseyi Lawal emerged for Ikeja Constituencies I and II.
Saad Lukmon Olumoh and Sabur Akanbi Oluwa also secured the party’s tickets for Ajeromi-Ifelodun Constituencies I and II.
The release of the candidates’ list marks another stage in the party’s preparations for the 2027 elections as political activities continue across the state.
