APC Disowns Fake Primary Winners List

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied releasing any official list of successful candidates from its recently concluded primary elections, warning members and the public against relying on a document circulating online.

The party made its position known on Sunday through a public notice issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka. The notice was also shared on the party’s official X account.

According to the APC, the list being circulated does not originate from the party and should not be regarded as authentic. It said reports claiming to announce the outcome of the primary elections are false and were published without its approval.

The party explained that it has not officially announced the winners of the primaries. It said candidates who emerge successfully from the exercise will be informed through the party’s recognised communication channels before they receive their Certificates of Return.

The APC advised its members, aspirants and other stakeholders to ignore any unofficial publication claiming to contain the names of successful candidates. It warned that only information released through its approved platforms should be trusted.

The ruling party added that the process for notifying successful aspirants would follow its established procedures. It urged party members and the general public to rely solely on official APC statements for updates regarding the outcome of the primary elections and other related matters.
