The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Kebbi State, Abubakar Malami, has named Musa Zagi as his deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 governorship election. The announcement was made on Friday through a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary in the state, Engr. Abubakar Atiku Musa.
According to the statement, Zagi’s nomination received the approval of Malami, paving the way for the two politicians to contest the 2027 election on the ADC platform in Kebbi State.
The party congratulated Zagi on his emergence as the deputy governorship candidate and expressed confidence in his ability to carry out the responsibilities of the office if the party wins the election. It said his selection forms part of the party’s preparations for the next governorship race in the state.
The ADC also extended congratulations to its other candidates contesting different elective positions in the 2027 general elections. It urged all party members, supporters and stakeholders to remain united and work together to strengthen the party ahead of the polls.
The statement further called for peaceful, free and credible elections across the state and the country. It appealed to the people of Kebbi State to support the party’s candidates, expressing hope that the ADC would receive the mandate of voters in the coming elections.
