Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in Asaba, the Delta State capital, on Sunday ahead of the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit scheduled to take place on Monday. The visit is part of activities aimed at promoting investment opportunities in the state and strengthening partnerships that can support economic growth.
The summit is expected to bring together government officials, business leaders, investors and other stakeholders to discuss ways of expanding the state’s economy. It is designed to attract both local and foreign investments while creating an environment that supports business development and long-term economic progress.
During the event, Shettima is expected to speak on the Federal Government’s economic reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The Vice President is also expected to discuss how the administration’s policies are creating opportunities for investors and improving the business environment in Delta State.
On arrival at the Asaba airport, Shettima was received by Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. Also present to welcome the Vice President were former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, alongside other political leaders, government officials and members of the business community.
The Delta State Economic and Investment Summit is expected to provide a platform for discussions on investment, infrastructure, industrial growth and partnerships that can contribute to the state’s development.
Organisers hope the gathering will attract new investors and encourage businesses to explore opportunities across different sectors of the state’s economy.
