Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and other senior members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have arrived in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, ahead of the party’s mega rally for the August 15 governorship election.
The APC leaders arrived in the state on Thursday as the party intensified its campaign activities before voters head to the polls on Saturday. Also present in Osogbo are Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
A member of the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, is also among the APC figures attending the rally.
The gathering is expected to bring together party leaders, supporters and other members of the APC as the party makes a final push ahead of the governorship election.
The visit by the national and state leaders comes at a crucial stage of the election campaign, with political parties making their final efforts to win the support of voters across Osun State.
The APC is expected to use the mega rally to mobilise its supporters and strengthen its campaign ahead of Saturday’s election.
