2027: Ganduje’s son quits NDC, returns to APC after three months

Abdulaziz Ganduje, the eldest son of former All Progressives Congress national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to the APC after spending about three months with the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

Abdulaziz made the move in Kano State, where APC members and officials received him during a ceremony at the party’s ward office in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area on Sunday.

The development marks his return to the ruling party after his brief stay with the NDC. During the ceremony, he was formally welcomed back by party members and issued a new APC membership card.

His return comes as political activities continue to build ahead of the 2027 general elections, with politicians and supporters moving between parties as new alliances and political arrangements take shape.

Abdulaziz is the eldest son of Abdullahi Ganduje, who previously served as Kano State governor and later became national chairman of the APC.

The younger Ganduje had earlier left the APC for the NDC, where he spent roughly three months before deciding to return to his former party.

The latest move adds to the ongoing political realignments ahead of the 2027 elections, as parties continue to strengthen their structures and attract members across different states.

His return to the APC was formally completed at the ward level in Dawakin Tofa, where party officials and members gathered to receive him and confirm his membership.

The development is expected to attract attention in Kano’s political space as parties prepare for the next election cycle.
