The Allied Peoples Movement has moved the unveiling of the campaign office for its 2027 presidential ticket featuring Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and his running mate, Lawan Daura, from September 3 to September 7, 2026, in Abuja.
The party announced the change on Tuesday through its National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, according to a statement from the Special Adviser on Media to the Oyo State Governor, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
The event will now take place on Monday, September 7, at the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Office located at 43 Agadez Street, Wuse 2, Abuja. The programme is scheduled to begin at 11am.
The APM asked its leaders, stakeholders and members to take note of the new date and make the necessary arrangements to attend the event as scheduled.
The party did not give a detailed reason for changing the date of the unveiling.
It also expressed regret to its supporters and other stakeholders who may have made plans around the earlier date, asking them to adjust their schedules to reflect the new arrangement.
The unveiling is expected to formally open the campaign office for the Makinde/Daura ticket as political activities build up ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The change in date comes as political parties and their candidates continue to organise their structures and prepare for the next general election.
The APM is expected to use the campaign office as a centre for coordinating activities, meetings and mobilisation in support of its presidential candidates as the election draws closer.
Party leaders, stakeholders and members have been informed of the revised schedule and are expected to attend the event on the new date.
