Veteran Nigerian actor and film executive, Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, popularly known as Olu Jacobs, has died at the age of 84.
The respected actor died on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, with the announcement made by his son, Olusoji Jacobs, in a post shared on Instagram.
Olusoji announced the death on behalf of the family, describing his father as a beloved husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He also referred to the veteran actor by his well-known title, the Lion of Lufodo.
