President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, on his 72nd birthday, praising his contributions to faith, education and human development.
Tinubu conveyed the birthday message on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The President joined Oyedepo’s family, members of Living Faith Church Worldwide, the wider Christian community and his supporters in marking the occasion.
Tinubu commended the cleric for his role in promoting moral and spiritual values among individuals and communities. He noted that Oyedepo’s teachings have focused on values such as integrity, discipline, hard work, responsibility and excellence.
The President also recognised Oyedepo’s involvement in education and human-capital development through institutions established by the Living Faith Church, including Covenant University and Landmark University.
According to Tinubu, the bishop’s work has extended beyond church activities to areas such as education, publishing, leadership development and humanitarian service. He also noted the international spread of the Living Faith Church.
Tinubu said Oyedepo had become a prominent Nigerian voice on faith, leadership, integrity, education and human development after more than four decades in ministry.
The President also acknowledged social-development projects linked to Oyedepo’s ministry, including schools, healthcare facilities and humanitarian programmes. He further recognised the activities of the David Oyedepo Foundation in supporting education and assisting people in need.
Tinubu said the bishop had spent decades preaching faith and encouraging moral values while also committing resources to education and the development of people.
The President prayed for continued wisdom, strength, good health and divine grace for Oyedepo as he continues his religious and humanitarian work.
He also wished the cleric many more years of good health, fulfilment and service to God and humanity as he marks his 72nd birthday.
