Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has declared her support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, expressing confidence that he will secure another term in office in the 2027 presidential election.
The actress made her position known during an interview, where she praised the Tinubu administration for its policies and achievements, particularly the introduction of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
Badmus described the student loan scheme as a major development, noting that it would give more Nigerians the opportunity to pursue higher education regardless of their financial background.
She explained that during her university days, there was no similar opportunity for students who could not afford the cost of their education, leaving some people unable to attend school because of financial difficulties.
According to her, the availability of interest-free student loans under the current administration would help more young Nigerians gain access to education.
The actress also claimed that some students who benefit from the scheme do not inform their parents about the loans because they still want to collect money from them.
Badmus further defended Tinubu’s performance, listing tax reforms and other government policies among the areas where she believes the president has made progress.
She maintained that the administration had done well, although she did not provide further details of the achievements she mentioned.
Speaking about the 2027 presidential election, the actress expressed strong confidence that Tinubu would win another term, provided everything goes as expected.
She also argued that social media discussions do not necessarily determine election results, insisting that political success depends largely on support from people at the grassroots.
Badmus added that the most important thing was for Nigerians to have a leader who genuinely cares about their welfare, regardless of the political party the person represents.
She expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, praying that the country would become great again.
