Brazilian authorities have raised concerns about the welfare of the 15 Brazilians aboard the flotilla, including deputy Luizianne Lins, and have requested that Israel ensure their safety while detained.

The Brazilian government is among the international community calling for Israel to allow humanitarian aid to reach Gaza. President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has consistently condemned Israel’s military actions in Gaza, describing them as harmful to civilians and calling for the protection of Palestinian lives.

The interception of the flotilla has intensified diplomatic tensions between Brazil and Israel, with Brazil urging Israel to respect the rights of peaceful activists and facilitate humanitarian support.
