Former North West Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ibrahim Manzo, has announced his resignation from the party.
The politician, who has held several positions in Kebbi State, including Commissioner for Health, Commissioner for Agriculture, Amirul Hajj, and once served as a deputy governorship candidate under the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), made his decision known in a letter dated September 16, 2025.
The letter was addressed to the PDP ward chairman in Dikko Ward, Argungu Local Government Area, and was also copied to the local government and state party leadership.In the letter, Manzo explained that his decision to step away from the PDP was personal and came after careful thought.
He expressed gratitude to the party, its leadership, and members for their support and cooperation throughout his time in the PDP.
His resignation marks another exit from the party in Kebbi State, though he did not indicate his next political move.
