Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have stepped up operations in Borno State, disrupting Boko Haram’s supply chain and arresting a suspected member of the terrorist group.

The incident took place on September 29 when soldiers intercepted suspected suppliers along the Gubio–Binduldul route.

The suspects, on sighting the troops, abandoned their tricycles loaded with food and other items, including eggs, drinks, and yam. One suspect was arrested, and findings later showed that the supplies were being taken to Taiye Market in Abadam, an area long known as a base for insurgents.

In another operation a day earlier, on September 28, troops from the 117 Task Force Battalion captured a suspected Boko Haram and ISWAP operative in Gatamarwa village, Chibok Local Government Area.
During questioning, the suspect reportedly admitted that he had been assigned to monitor and gather information for the group.Military sources confirmed that the arrested suspect has been handed over to security agencies for further investigation.
They also restated their determination to continue operations that would weaken terrorist networks and prevent their access to supplies across the North East.
