Olarewaju also spoke about the need for greater participation of young people and women in Nigerian politics. He mentioned that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) intends to allocate between 35 and 50 percent of its positions to youths and women as part of efforts to give them more opportunities in leadership.

According to him, Nigerians need a political party that understands the value of young generations and is ready to tap into their creativity and energy. On the question of whether Atiku would step aside for a younger candidate, Olarewaju said the former Vice President has expressed readiness to do so if defeated in the primaries.

However, he maintained that Atiku remains the strongest opposition figure for now.He added that an alliance between Atiku and Obi could serve as a powerful combination capable of uniting the opposition and challenging the ruling party in the 2027 election, noting that both politicians share similar political beliefs and goals that could make such a partnership successful.
