APC Blasts Bala Mohammed Over PDP’s 2027 Comeback Dream

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Media Network has criticised Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, for claiming that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will reclaim power in 2027 despite the wave of defections affecting the party.

The APC-affiliated media group made its position known in a statement released on Sunday in Uyo by its Director-General, Iniobong John.

The group said the governor’s confidence in a PDP comeback shows he is disconnected from the current realities in his party.According to the statement, the PDP has continued to lose members and credibility across the country as internal crises, leadership disputes, and defections persist.

The group noted that the APC government has continued to implement policies aimed at improving the economy, infrastructure, and national security, arguing that Nigerians have seen real progress under the current administration.It described the governor’s statement as unrealistic, adding that elections are not won through words but through performance.

The APC Media Network stated that the PDP’s long years in power left behind corruption, economic decline, and poor infrastructure, which the APC has been working to correct.The group advised Governor Mohammed to focus on addressing issues in Bauchi State instead of making premature political declarations about 2027.

It added that the APC is more focused on delivering results to Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Agenda.The development comes as the PDP continues to experience internal challenges, including defections of key figures such as sitting governors, former ministers, and lawmakers, many of whom have joined the APC.

Governor Bala Mohammed, who chairs the PDP Governors’ Forum, has continued to insist that the party remains strong and capable of regaining power at the federal level despite the current setbacks.
