The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed allegations of forged signatures made by its National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, insisting that he personally endorsed the official letters related to the party’s upcoming national convention.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, made this known during a press briefing on Monday in Abuja.

He explained that Anyanwu duly signed the documents sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) notifying it of the PDP’s national convention, which is scheduled to take place in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15 and 16.

Ologunagba stated that the letters were signed shortly before the party’s 102nd National Executive Committee meeting held on August 25. He added that the PDP National Working Committee remains united and committed to ensuring a successful convention.
The clarification follows claims by Anyanwu alleging that his signature was forged on official party documents related to the convention. However, the party leadership insists there was no falsification and that due process was followed in all communications with INEC.
The PDP has continued preparations for its convention, which is expected to shape the party’s future direction ahead of upcoming political activities.
