Genocide Claim:APC Chieftain Rallies Nigerians Behind Tinubu in Fight Against Terrorism

A leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has called on Nigerians to unite in support of President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to end terrorism and other security challenges in the country.

Speaking with journalists on Sunday in Osogbo, Oyintiloye urged political, religious, and community leaders across Nigeria to put aside differences and work together to strengthen national security. He said the current insecurity did not begin under the Tinubu administration but had worsened over time, growing from insurgency to widespread banditry.

The APC chieftain expressed concern over the recent statement credited to former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding alleged attacks on Christians in Nigeria, describing the situation as one that should concern every citizen. He noted that all religions in the country—Christianity, Islam, and others—have suffered losses due to terrorism and violent crimes, and no faith group is being exclusively targeted.

Oyintiloye also appealed to the newly appointed military chiefs to justify the confidence placed in them by the President by working with determination to defeat insurgents and restore peace. He cautioned opposition figures to avoid making statements capable of worsening national tension, stressing that insecurity affects everyone regardless of political alignment.

While acknowledging the value of international partnerships, Oyintiloye urged Nigeria to seek intelligence and equipment support from foreign allies rather than the deployment of external troops. He maintained that unity and cooperation among all stakeholders remain essential for defeating terrorism and protecting the country’s sovereignty.
