Supporters of Nyesom Wike’s faction of the Peoples Democratic Party took control of the streets around the party’s headquarters at Wadata Plaza, Wuse, Zone 5, Abuja, on Tuesday. The Wike-led group, including the sacked Acting National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed, entered the party secretariat building early Tuesday morning, accompanied by heavily armed police officers. Security personnel positioned themselves along the streets and key points around the headquarters to maintain order.
