The Federal Capital Territory Administration has started enforcement on 1,095 property titles that were earlier revoked due to unpaid land-related charges. The affected properties are located in key districts of the Federal Capital City, including Asokoro, Maitama, Garki, and Wuse.

According to the administration, property owners were given several chances to clear their debts. Public notices were issued from May to November across newspapers, online platforms, and television. These notices warned defaulters to settle outstanding Ground Rent, Certificate of Occupancy bills, penalty or violation fees, and Land Use Conversion fees or face loss of their property rights.

Despite the repeated warnings, many property holders failed to comply. This led the administration to take action under the provisions of the Land Use Act, which allows revocation of rights when land charges are not paid as required.

Out of the total affected properties, 835 were listed for non-payment of Ground Rent, while 260 were cited for unpaid violation penalties and Land Use Conversion fees. The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, approved the enforcement process.
