The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Yunusa Tanko, has said that Peter Obi will soon reveal the political party he plans to contest under in the 2027 general elections. Tanko made this known during an interview on Arise Television, where he explained that the decision would be taken and announced personally by Obi.
He said many Nigerians, both within and outside the country, are waiting for Obi’s decision, which shows the level of interest and support surrounding him. According to Tanko, Obi prefers to speak for himself on such matters and would make the announcement at a time he considers right.
Tanko disclosed that Obi has been working closely with a coalition and has been actively involved in its activities. He added that the coalition has already produced a political party and that Obi has contributed to its formation and growth. He described Obi as someone who believes in teamwork and collective effort.
He further stated that Obi’s eventual decision would be welcomed by many because of his belief in freeing the country from poor leadership and improving the welfare of citizens. Tanko assured supporters that the announcement would come soon and that it would align with Obi’s vision for Nigeria and his commitment to working with others to achieve change.
