Members of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State have been urged to take part in the party’s ongoing national electronic registration as plans for future elections continue. The call was made on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti during a meeting involving senatorial coordinators and local government supervisors.
The state coordinator of the exercise and Commissioner for Youth Development, Gold Adesola Adedayo, said the registration is supported by the party’s national leadership and is aimed at creating a clear and dependable record of members across the state. According to him, the exercise will help the party know its actual strength at the grassroots.
He explained that the registration is open to party members who are 18 years and above and who have valid voter cards and National Identification Numbers. He added that ward agents have been trained and deployed to guide participants and resolve any issues that may come up during the process.
Adedayo also called on party officials at the local level to mobilise members and ensure the exercise runs without problems. He noted that the registration is part of efforts to prepare the party ahead of the June 20 governorship election and the 2027 general elections, adding that taking part shows commitment to the party.
The Ekiti APC chairman, Sola Elesin, who has already completed his registration, also encouraged members to do the same. He said the exercise will help improve coordination within the party and put it in a better position for upcoming elections.
