Okpebholo Gets APC Digital Membership Card in Edo

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has completed his registration as a member of the All Progressives Congress during the party’s ongoing e-registration exercise in Edo State. The registration took place in his hometown, Irrua, where he was issued a digital membership card, making him the first officially registered APC member in the state under the current exercise.
The development was made public in a statement released on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Patrick Ebojele. According to the statement, the governor expressed satisfaction with the process and described it as smooth and easy. He encouraged party members and those interested in joining the APC to take part in the registration exercise.
After receiving his card, Okpebholo appreciated the officials handling the exercise and urged residents of Edo State to register and become full members of the party. He noted that the registration process requires basic documents such as the National Identification Number and voter’s card, adding that interested persons can also complete the process online without returning to their wards or communities.
The governor also acknowledged the presence of party leaders who monitored the exercise, including the APC senatorial leader in the area, Major General Cecil Esekhaigbe. He called on party members across the state to participate fully in the registration to strengthen the party’s structure.
Also speaking at the event, the APC e-registration coordinator in Esan Central Local Government Area, Otoanyenlen Osedebamen, said the exercise was designed to give equal rights and opportunities to all party members. He urged members to register at their polling units to ensure proper documentation.
He added that the exercise, which began in Irrua, was part of efforts to build a strong and inclusive party base in Edo State. The APC e-registration exercise is expected to boost grassroots participation and attract more residents into the party as it prepares for future political activities.
