The gathering brought together party leaders, elected officials, local government representatives and grassroots politicians from across the district. The meeting focused on strengthening party unity and building a solid structure ahead of the elections.

Speaking at the event, Senator Barau said the aim was to keep Kano North firmly aligned with the APC and ready for future political contests. He told members to remain united and committed to the party’s success at all levels.

According to him, the district has a strong political base that will work to secure victory for President Tinubu, Governor Yusuf and other APC candidates in 2027.

As part of efforts to support party operations at the grassroots, Barau announced the donation of 26 vehicles and 141 motorcycles to party officials across the 13 local government areas in the district.

The vehicles are meant for chairmen and vice chairmen, while councillors and secretaries will receive motorcycles. He explained that providing mobility for party leaders would improve coordination and outreach in their communities.

Other party leaders at the meeting also declared their support for the plan. Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe, who represents Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimin Gado Federal Constituency, assured that Kano North would stand behind the president, the governor and Senator Barau. He noted that the district would continue to cooperate with the party leadership.

Jamilu Danbatta, Chairman of Danbatta Local Government, spoke on behalf of the 13 local government chairmen and thanked the deputy senate president for the support.

He confirmed that party officials in the district would work toward victory in the coming elections.

The Deputy Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Muhammad Bello Butu-Butu, also praised Senator Barau’s efforts in the district and said party members were satisfied with his performance.

The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by those present to work together for the re-election of President Tinubu, Governor Yusuf and Senator Barau in 2027.
