During the sitting, members of the Assembly examined the development and agreed that it could have political and diplomatic consequences if not addressed.

They expressed worry that any action taken abroad concerning a former governor of Kano might affect the image of the state and create tension within the political space.

The lawmakers urged Governor Yusuf to reach out through appropriate diplomatic and government channels to seek clarification on the matter.

They said early engagement would help prevent complications and protect the interests of Kano and its political leaders.

According to the Assembly, steps should be taken to ensure that decisions made outside Nigeria do not harm the reputation of the state.

They maintained that the government must remain alert to issues that may affect Kano at the international level.

The resolution followed growing political discussions surrounding Kwankwaso in recent days.

Members of the House agreed that swift action by the state government would help address any concerns linked to the proposed US bill and reduce uncertainty over its intent and possible impact.
