In Abuja on Thursday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, received members of the All Progressives Congress from Rivers State at his residence as part of activities leading to the party’s national convention. The meeting brought together key stakeholders from the state chapter of the party, including federal and state lawmakers, party leaders, and other delegates.

Among those present was Victor Giadom, who recently secured another term as the party’s National Vice Chairman for the South-South region. Also in attendance were senators, members of the House of Representatives, and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, alongside other prominent figures within the party in the state.

The gathering took place shortly after the APC conducted its South-South Zonal Congress in Asaba, Delta State, where party officials for the region were selected. During that exercise, Giadom retained his position, while Samuel Nwanosike emerged as the Zonal Publicity Secretary.

The Abuja meeting is seen as part of ongoing consultations and internal coordination among party leaders and delegates ahead of the national convention.
