On Saturday in Abuja, the All Progressives Congress released its timetable for ward, local government, and state congresses in Adamawa State, Zamfara State, and the Federal Capital Territory, setting out activities to be held over several days in April 2026.

The schedule, issued by the party’s national secretariat and signed by its organising secretary, outlines how the process will begin with the screening of aspirants seeking positions at the ward level. This will be followed by a period for handling complaints arising from the screening before the ward congress takes place.

After the ward stage, the party will move to the local government level, where aspirants will again be screened and allowed to raise appeals before the local government congress is conducted. The process will then proceed to the state level, with another round of screening and appeals leading up to the state congress.

The activities are planned to run from April 11 to April 19, covering all three tiers of the party structure. Each stage includes time set aside for resolving disputes before moving to the next phase.
The party said the timetable follows the completion of similar congresses already held in most states across the country. The exercise is part of ongoing internal processes to organise party structures ahead of future political activities.
With this development, members and aspirants in the affected states and the FCT are expected to prepare for participation in the scheduled events, which will determine leadership positions within the party at different levels.
