ADC Debunks Report of David Mark’s Resignation

The African Democratic Congress on Sunday dismissed claims that its Interim National Chairman, David Mark, has stepped down, stating that the reports are false and meant to mislead the public.

The party made this known through a statement released by the National Chairman’s Media Office, where it rejected the rumours and maintained that no such decision has been taken. It clarified that Mark is still in charge of the party and continues to carry out his duties as leader.

According to the statement, there has been no discussion or plan within the party regarding his resignation. The leadership described the report as an attempt to create confusion and disrupt the party’s activities at a time when political alignments are building ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party also stated that its leadership remains united and focused on strengthening its structure and presenting itself as a credible option to Nigerians. It added that efforts to spread such information may be linked to concerns about the party’s growing presence in the political space.
