The APC Forum for Good Governance and Continuity has officially thrown its support behind President Bola Tinubu and Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for a second term in the 2027 elections. The group announced the decision at a press briefing in Abuja, presenting an assessment of the leaders’ performance so far.

The forum pointed to Tinubu’s economic measures since taking office in 2023, including the removal of fuel subsidies, unifying the exchange rate, and reforming the tax system. These moves, according to the group, have helped stabilise Nigeria’s economy, boost investor confidence, and improve national revenue.

In Rivers State, the forum praised Governor Fubara for restoring political stability, advancing infrastructure projects, improving healthcare services, and supporting agriculture to diversify the state’s economy beyond oil.

The group noted that the administration has achieved steady GDP growth, improved foreign reserves, and maintained a stable exchange rate, despite the challenges of major reforms.
The APC Forum said both leaders have shown resilience, commitment, and capacity to govern under pressure, and expressed confidence that they should continue their leadership to ensure ongoing development and progress for the country and state.
The forum concluded that backing Tinubu and Fubara for a second term is a step towards continuity of policies and stability in governance ahead of the 2027 elections.
