The senator has also remained active in traditional and community affairs, as reports indicate that he, alongside some other high chiefs, was recently elevated to the status of crown-wearing Obas in Ibadanland by the state government.

The visit is one of several political engagements by the President during his stay in Lagos for the Easter period. Images from the meeting, which surfaced online, showed both men in a relaxed and friendly interaction.

Although no official statement was released after the meeting, the development has added to growing interest around the 2027 governorship contest in Oyo State, especially within the APC, where discussions on zoning and candidate selection are gradually taking shape.
