The Kano APC chairman, Umar Doguwa, explained that the state chapter initially planned to fully fund the president’s nomination forms but later chose to contribute N50 million instead. The contribution, according to party leaders, is meant to support the process and show commitment to the party’s direction.

The stakeholders also extended their support to Abba Kabir Yusuf ahead of the 2027 elections, stating that their decision reflects their intention to maintain unity within the party at both national and state levels.

They added that the move is part of a broader plan to ensure stability within the APC in Kano and to position the party for success in the next general elections. The leaders believe that early alignment will help avoid conflicts and keep members focused on common goals.

In his response, Governor Yusuf appreciated the show of support from party members and assured them of his commitment to governance that benefits the people. He said the backing would motivate his administration to continue delivering projects and improving the lives of residents in the state.

He also urged party members to remain united and work together for the progress of both the APC and Kano State, noting that cooperation among stakeholders is key to achieving political and developmental goals.
