APGA Fixes Screening Dates for National and State Assembly Aspirants

On Sunday in Awka, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, All Progressives Grand Alliance, announced the dates for screening of people seeking tickets for Senate, House of Representatives, and Anambra State House of Assembly seats ahead of its 2026 primaries.

The party fixed Monday, May 11, 2026, for National Assembly aspirants to be screened at its national headquarters in Abuja, while Anambra State House of Assembly aspirants will undergo screening on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at the party’s regional office in Awka. Both sessions are scheduled to begin at 10am.

The party explained that only aspirants and members of the screening committee will be allowed into the venues, while supporters and aides are expected to stay away. It also stated that candidates must present original copies of their highest academic certificates for verification, as photocopies will not be accepted.

APGA also made it clear that the screening process does not require any payment, warning that no aspirant should be asked to pay money to any person or committee. Any demand for payment should be reported to the party’s national secretariat.


The party added that screening arrangements for aspirants from other states will be announced later through official channels, and it urged all participants to follow the dates, time, and requirements already released.
