Omoaje, a politician from Ede in Osun State, accepted the nomination and said he would work toward providing leadership focused on good governance, national unity and development. He described the nomination as a victory for members of the party who remained committed despite the challenges the party had faced in recent years.

During the event, Omoaje expressed appreciation to his family, supporters and party loyalists for standing by him throughout political and legal battles linked to the party’s leadership dispute. He said their support helped sustain the party during difficult periods and contributed to the outcome of the nomination process.

The AA presidential candidate also commended media organisations and journalists for reporting on the party’s internal issues and legal cases over the years. He further acknowledged the contributions of legal practitioners who participated in the court matters involving the party, noting that their efforts played a role in the resolution of leadership disputes.

Omoaje also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission for complying with court judgments relating to the party. According to him, respect for judicial decisions remains important for the growth and stability of democracy and helps strengthen public confidence in democratic institutions.

Looking ahead to the 2027 election, Omoaje said his administration would be built on integrity, fairness and a commitment to national progress if elected president. He called on party members to remain united and continue working together as the party prepares for future elections across the country.

The Action Alliance has experienced leadership disagreements and legal battles in recent years over the control of the party. Omoaje has consistently maintained that court rulings confirmed his position as National Chairman. His emergence as the party’s presidential candidate comes as political activities continue to gather pace ahead of the 2027 general election.

With the nomination completed, the party now turns its attention to expanding its support base and presenting itself as an alternative choice for Nigerians ahead of the next presidential contest.
