The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) has said the party is rebuilding after overcoming a period of internal disputes and court cases. The assurance was given on Tuesday by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, through a statement issued to party members and supporters.

According to the BoT chairman, the recent judgment of the Federal High Court has brought more clarity to the party’s leadership issues. He said the decision followed the position earlier taken by the Supreme Court, adding that those still challenging the current leadership should accept the outcome of the legal process and move on.

Ohuabunwa stated that the Board of Trustees, which serves as the party’s highest advisory body, accepts the court ruling and remains committed to respecting the rule of law. He said the board would continue to support every lawful process aimed at strengthening the party.

He also warned that anyone presenting himself as the Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees without legal backing would be treated as an impersonator. According to him, appropriate legal action would be taken against such individuals.
The BoT chairman called on party leaders and members across the country to put aside their differences and work together for the common interest of the PDP. He said reconciliation and cooperation among stakeholders remain necessary as the party prepares for future political activities.
Ohuabunwa added that the PDP is focused on rebuilding its internal structures and improving unity across all levels. He expressed confidence that the party would become stronger and better positioned ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He also assured members and supporters that the leadership would continue taking steps to improve stability within the party and ensure it is fully prepared for future electoral contests.
